Public Comment or Testimony can be accepted via email in written form at ecarter@naugatuck-ct.gov prior to a meeting. Members of the public may also testify by video during these meetings. Name and address will be required to comment.

Please be advised that the Zoning Commission Meeting scheduled on Wednesday February 18, 2026 at 6:00 P.M. will be held in person for the Zoning Commission Members and Applicants in the Hall of Burgesses 4th Floor Town Hall, 229 Church St. The meeting will be held virtually via ZOOM for members of the Public. Public may attend.

 

1.   Call to order, pledge of allegiance and attendance will be taken. After determination of a quorum, Alternates will be designated as voting members, if necessary.

2.    Approval of the January 21, 2026 Regular Meeting Minutes and the secretary will sign previously approved minutes.

 

PUBLIC HEARINGS

 

  1. Cont’d PUBLIC HEARING: 6:05 P.M. – Special Permit Application for 2 interior lots for the property located at 0 Field St. Acct# 001-3801, Applicant; Onofrios Total Construction.

    Public hearing opens 11/19/25 must close by 12/24/25 unless extension is requested

    57 Days of extension time has been used

     

  2. PUBLIC HEARING: 6:10 P.M. – Proposed Zone Change for Residential Use Properties in the Rubber Ave. Design District, Applicant; Borough of Naugatuck,

  1. Commission discussion/decision for the Special Permit Application for 2 interior lots for the property located at 0 Field St. Acct # 001-3801, Applicant; Onofrios Total Construction.

     

  2. Commission discussion/decision for a proposed Zone Change for Residential Use Properties in the Rubber Ave. Design District, Applicant; Borough of Naugatuck.

4.     NEW BUSINESS:

 

  1. Accept the Special Permit Application for the removal of up to 1000 cubic yards of earth material for the construction of a single family residential home, refer to the Planning Commission and set a Public Hearing date for Wednesday, March 18, 2026 for the property located at 229 City Hill St., Applicant; Maikol Sanchez.

     

  2. Commission discussion/decision for a Site Plan Modification for an Adult Daycare Center for the property located at 71 Weid Dr., Applicant; Alternatives, Inc.

     

  3. Commission discussion in regard to the 2 tent structures, a fuel station and storage of equipment for the operation of a paving company for the property located at 0 Sheridan Dr., Applicant; Underground LLC dba Bocca Paving.

     

  4. Commission discussion in regard to clarifying the process to sell earth material excavated from 912 New Haven Rd. as permitted under the approved excavation special permit.
