The Borough of Naugatuck will host all Land Use board meetings remotely and in person until further notice. Public attendance is allowed in Town Hall. Public Comment or Testimony can be accepted via email in written form at ecarter@naugatuck-ct.gov prior to a meeting. Members of the public may also testify by video during these meetings. Name and address will be required to comment.

   

MEETING AGENDA

 

Please be advised that the Zoning Commission  Meeting scheduled on Wednesday June 19, 2024 at 6:00 P.M. will be held in person for the Zoning Commission Members and Applicants in the Naugatuck Board of Education Conference Room 497 Rubber Ave. The meeting will be held virtually via ZOOM for members of the Public. Public may attend.

 

1.   Call to order, pledge of allegiance and attendance will be taken. After determination of a quorum, Alternates will be designated as voting members, if necessary.

 

2.    Approval of the May 14, 2024 Meeting Minutes and the secretary will sign previously approved minutes.

 

PUBLIC HEARINGS

 

PUBLIC HEARING: 6:05 P.M. – Application for the proposed Text Change to add Residential Treatment Facilities as a permitted use to a B-1 Zone, add a definition of Residential Treatment Facilities and add a Parking Standard for Residential Treatment Facilities, Applicant; Heritage Downtown, LLC.

Public hearing opens 5/14/24 must close by 6/19/24 unless an extension is requested by applicant. 2 days of extension time has been used.

 

PUBLIC HEARING: 6:05 P.M. – Special Permit Application for a proposed Residential Treatment Facility for the property located at 58 Maple St, Applicant; Heritage Downtown, LLC.

Public hearing opens 5/14/24 must close by 6/19/24 unless an extension is requested by applicant. 2 days of extension time has been used.

 

PUBLIC HEARING: 6:25 P.M. – Special Permit Application for a proposed single story 29,200 sq. ft. retail building and required excavation for the property located at 912 New Haven Rd., Applicant; 589 Investments, LLC.

Public hearing opens 6/19/24 must close by 7/23/24 unless an extension is requested by applicant.

  2. Commission discussion/decision for the Special Permit Application for a Residential Treatment Facility within the existing building for the property located at 58 Maple St., Applicant; Heritage Downtown, LLC.

     

  3. Commission discussion/decision for the Special Permit Application for a single story 29,200 sq. ft. building and required excavation for the property located at 912 New Haven Rd., Applicant; 589 Investments, LLC.

     

  4. Commission discussion in regard to the Special Permit Conditions of ZenLeaf Dispensary located at 585 South main St.

     

  5. Commission discussion for the Soil/Erosion Plan for 402 Hillside Ave., Applicant; Jennifer Finlay.
