Public Information Meeting

 

 

The Borough of Naugatuck will be holding a Public information meeting for the proposed Rubber Avenue Reconstruction project. The project includes the reconstruction of Rubber Avenue from Melbourne Street to Elm Street including a proposed Roundabout at the intersection with Route 63. The project is in the preliminary design phase and a Local Transportation Capital Improvement Program application has been submitted to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

 

It is the Borough of Naugatuck's and the State's policy to keep persons informed and involved when such projects are undertaken. It is important that the community share its concerns to assist in the project’s development. The Borough of Naugatuck will conduct an informational meeting on:

Residents, business owners and other interested individuals are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to discuss the project. Email comments can be submitted to publicworks@naugauck-ct.gov.    Comments must be received within ten days after the public meeting to be considered. 

 

Based upon a preliminary assessment, the construction cost will be approximately $4,815,000. It is anticipated that the CTDOT Local Transportation Capital Improvement Program will provide 100% of the construction costs.
