CONSTRUCTION UPDATE DOWNTOWN SANITARY, STORMWATER, AND STREETSCAPE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

Subsurface improvements along Church Street are well underway and expected to wrap up this winter. In order to expedite the underground construction, Church Street will be closed, as shown on the attached map, starting December 23, 2024.  Beginning in the spring, construction  of  the streetscape amenities is scheduled to begin. These enhancements are part of our ongoing efforts to create a more vibrant, functional, and welcoming environment for all residents, businesses, and visitors to the Downtown.

The planned improvements include:

  • Upgraded sidewalks and crosswalks to enhance accessibility and safety.
  • New street lighting for better visibility and aesthetics.
  • Landscaping updates with additional trees, planters, and greenery.
  • Improved street furniture such as benches, bike racks, and waste receptacles.
  • Dining area bump outs to accommodate outdoor dining experiences

We believe these updates will significantly enhance the overall appeal and usability of the area, benefiting everyone who lives, works, and spends time here. If you have any questions or concerns about the project or its impact on your property, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are committed to keeping you informed and addressing any issues that may arise.
