Sealed bids will be received and opened at the Borough of Naugatuck, Town Hall, Purchasing Office(located in the basement), 229 Church Street, Naugatuck, CT 06770, on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 2:00 pm, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for supplying

 

The Borough of Naugatuck with the following:
MATERIALS TESTING SERVICES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE ADDITIONS AND RENOVATIONS OF THE NAUGATUCK HIGH SCHOOL AND BOARD OF EDUCATION

Copies of the bid documents may be obtained at the Office of the Purchasing Agent. Bid documents can also be obtained from the Borough of Naugatuck web site http://www.naugatuck-ct.gov. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.

Materials Testing Services Scope of Work

The Borough is interested in securing the services of a Materials Testing Laboratory. The existing building will be expanded through additions totaling 30,971 sq. ft. and the renovation of 310,000 sq. ft. of existing space. New site work includes the provision of a new entry drive, parking lot and athletic fields.

The materials testing services shall include: pile installations, soils, asphalt, concrete, mortar and fireproofing testing as well as steel inspections as indicated in the Statement of Special Inspections. The Special Inspections will be performed by Kaestle Boos Associates. The detailed list of required testing and inspections will be provided by the Borough of Naugatuck.
