From a press release by Connecticut Light and Power:
What: In Connecticut, trees are the number one cause of power outages, especially when severe weather strikes. That’s why CL&P invests millions of dollars each year in vegetation management across its service territory. Trimming and/or removing trees that threaten the electric system significantly improves service reliability.
Tree work in Naugatuck is underway on the east side of town and should be completed by the end of August. CL&P has been notifying customers if work needs to be done on their property. Lewis Tree Service will be trimming along 59 miles of CL&P power lines.
Residents with questions can contact the Naugatuck Public Works Office at 203-720-7071.
