11/16/2015 - Smoke testing the sewer system for the purpose of locating sources of storm water inflow into the sanitary system

Attention Naugatuck Residents

The Borough will be performing smoke testing on the sewer system for the purpose of locating sources of storm water inflow into the sanitary system.

Work will take place November 16 through December 4th throughout the Borough. Notices will be posted in effected neighborhoods 24-72 hours before the test will be performed.

During this test, non-toxic white smoke is introduced through the sanitary sewer system via a smoke-generating machine. You may see white smoke venting from holes in manhole covers located on the street and plumbing vent pipes located on or near your roof surface.

Borough of Naugatuck Water Pollution Control 203-720-7060 OR Nick Keenan, Kleinfelder 860-563-7775.
