Public Comment or Testimony can be accepted via email in written form at ecarter@naugatuck-ct.gov prior to a meeting. Members of the public may also testify by video during these meetings. Name and address will be required to comment.

MEETING AGENDA

 


Please be advised that the Zoning Commission Meeting scheduled on Wednesday March 18, 2026 at 6:00 P.M. will be held in person for the Zoning Commission Members and Applicants in the Hall of Burgesses 4th Floor Town Hall, 229 Church St. The meeting will be held virtually via ZOOM for members of the Public. Public may attend.

 

1.   Call to order, pledge of allegiance and attendance will be taken. After determination of a quorum, Alternates will be designated as voting members, if necessary.

2.    Approval of the February 18, 2026 Regular Meeting Minutes and the secretary will sign previously approved minutes.

 

PUBLIC HEARINGS

 

  1. PUBLIC HEARING: 6:05 P.M. – Special Permit Application to remove up to 1000 cubic yards of earth material from the property located at 229 City Hill St., Applicant; Maikol Sanchez

Public Hearing Opens 3/18/2026. Public Hearing must close by 4/21/26 unless granted an extension.

 

3.    OLD BUSINESS:

 

  1. Commission discussion/decision for the Special Permit Application to remove up to 1000 cubic yards of earth material for the property located at 229 City Hill St. Applicant; Maikol Sanchez.

 

4.     NEW BUSINESS:

 

  1. Commission discussion/decision for Site Plan Certificate of Location approval for a Car Dealership for the property located at 423 Rubber Ave., Applicant; M & P Auto Works, LLC.

     

  2. Accept the Special Permit Application, refer to the Planning Commission and set a Public Hearing Date for Wednesday April 15, 2026 for 4 ballfields and to fill the site with up to 1200 cubic yards of earth material for the property located at 0 Osborn Rd – Osborn Rd Ballfield Complex, Applicant; Borough of Naugatuck.

     

  3. Commission discussion/decision to ratify a Change of Use Application for a coffee shop for the property located at 233 Rubber Ave., Applicant; Carlos Aquire.

     

  4. Commission discussion/decision to release the cash bond in the amount of $67,485.00 for the site improvements for the site plan approval for 108 William Rado Dr., Applicant; Borghesi Building & Engineering.

     

  5. Commission discussion in regard to Vape Shop Regulations.
