Public Comment or Testimony can be accepted via email in written form at ecarter@naugatuck-ct.gov prior to a meeting. Members of the public may also testify by video during these meetings. Name and address will be required to comment.

Revised MEETING AGENDA

  

Please be advised that the Zoning Commission Meeting scheduled on Wednesday August 20, 2025 at 6:00 P.M. will be held in person for the Zoning Commission Members and Applicants in the Hall of Burgesses 4th Floor Town Hall, 229 Church St. The meeting will be held virtually via ZOOM for members of the Public. Public may attend.

 

1.   Call to order, pledge of allegiance and attendance will be taken. After determination of a quorum, Alternates will be designated as voting members, if necessary.

 

2.    Approval of the July 16, 2025 Regular Meeting Minutes and the secretary will sign previously approved minutes.

 

PUBLIC HEARINGS

 

 

  1. Cont’d PUBLIC HEARING: 6:05 P.M. – Special Permit Application to remove up to 1000 cubic

yards of earth material to build a new house for the property located at 229 City Hill St., Applicant; Maikol Sanchez.

Public hearing opens 6/18/25 must close by 7/22/25 unless extension is requested

29 Days of extension time used.

 

3.    OLD BUSINESS:

 

  1. Commission discussion/decision for a Special Permit Application for the removal of up to 1000 cubic yards of earth material for the construction of a new house for the property located at 229 City Hill St., Applicant; Maikol Sanchez.

     

  2. Commission discussion for potential Smoke Shop Regulations.

 

4.     NEW BUSINESS:

 

  1. Commission discussion/decision for approval of the Patio Enclosure for the approved 46 bed facility as required with the Special Permit Approval for the property located at 58 Maple St., Applicant; Heritage Downtown, LLC.

     

  2. Accept a Special Permit Application, refer to the Planning Commission and set a Public Hearing Date for the Wednesday, September 24th Zoning Meeting for a Camp Facility for the property located at 308 Gunntown Rd.; Applicant, Naugatuck YMCA.

     

  3. Commission discussion/decision for a Soil and Erosion Site Plan for the property located at 402 Hillside Ave., Applicant; Andrew Finlay.
